RACE/SOCIOLIZATION 


​We wrote paragraphs about the different things we did in humanities that involved race and socialization. We had to use a specific format called a TEA paragraph. Which is a very helpful way to write paragraphs because it allows you to formulate the information in ways that make sense to multiple types of readers.

​WHY ANIMAS



​For the Why Animas assignment we made paragraphs about the reason that we chose to come to AHS. We made two different drafts and edited them multiple times so that they could be as good as possible. This article was then put onto this very DP so that people can know about why we chose our high school. 

​SEMINAR REFLECTION


​Another thing that we have done In humanities is the white privilege seminar. We read an article about how white privilege effects people. After we read and annotated this article we had a Socratic seminar abut it where we discussed the key point of the article. We were graded on this as well as the reflection on the seminar.

​IDENTITY MASK


​The project we are currently working n completing is the Mask Project this project is about finding and showing identity through the creation of a mask and an essay that will be presented simultaneously. We are creating an essay that is based around our personal experiences with socialization and identify. We also each made a sketch of what our mask would look like and we plastered them today. 

​Mask Essay

This is the essay that we wrote in connection with the mask. I worked very hard on this essay and created something that I am proud of. We wrote essays about the main things that have socialized us in our day to day lives. I chose swimming, school, and my home life. Over all on this project I got a B+. I believe could have gotten a better grade if I had been more focused on the work and not messed around.

​Pamphlet Project
The newest humanities project that we have been doing is creating a personal project protesting something that is happening in the world through the use of any material or medium. I made a pamphlet that had this collage on the back. I really enjoyed making this project because it was really open and you where able to make anything that you wanted on it. Overall on this project I got an A.

​Midsummer Nights Dream 
This humanities project was about the writer Shakespeare and one of his works called Midsummer Night's Dream. This play was super cool to learn about and to show our knowledge and understanding of this unit we made a shadow puppet version of the actual play. It turned out good overall even though there were some mess ups from the actors and voice actors. The knowledge we gained from this unit may not actually help us but the team work, and the memorizing skills that we learned could help us in the future with almost any career path. Overall on this project I got a B. I got this grade because I got a lot of work done but I still was messing around a little bit and was on my phone sometimes.
