POW #2 This is the second POW (Problem Of the Week) that we made in math it was about finding how many squares their are in a 8x8 square. At first you would think that cant be too hard right and you'd be right except that the squares can over lap. So the real trick is to find a pattern or method to find the amount of squares in the 8X8. I found that you can find centers of squares starting from 1x1 to 8x8 I found that there are 208 squares in the square. 9/20/22 |
ALICE UNIT:
This unit was about the scene from Alice in Wonderland where she eats cake and drinks a liquid. We were trying to find exponential equations for her rate of growth and rate of shrinking. We used many exponential and Log equations to learn about her height. I feel that I learned a lot during this unit of math because I did not know how to use exponents that had place holding letters in them. I also learned that
POW #7
This POW was about a clock that was 10, 3, and 7 minutes off. We had to figure out when a correct clock would show the same time as the broken clock. I found this POW to be super exciting. The problem was definitely confusing until I found the equation. I got a 21/21 which is an A.
