Wild Fire Project
This is our wild fire exhibition that we did in biology. We made models of different forests and then lit them on fire to test forest fires. We each had different independent (the piece of the experiment that you change) and dependent (the variables that are consistent in all the experiments.) I got an A on this experiment. |
TROPHIC WEB We made models of trophic webs this year as well. A trophic web is a web of all of the biomass in an ecosystem and how it is moved around between plants and animals. For this assignment we were divided up into groups of two where we learned about species we found outside of our campus. We then figured out their connections in an ecosystem through researching the species. Overall I got an A- on this assignment. |
FALL PROJECT I researched Bighorn Sheep (Ovis Canadensis). I made an informational pamphlet for people to know all that they need to about Bighorn Sheep. I put effort into the pamphlet and I like the way it turned out. I did a lot of research into what impacts these animals to provide people with a basic knowledge of the species. |
CELL CYCLE UNIT
In this unit we studied the cell cycle and what it does and is. We did this game where we had to go through the entire cell cycle with out dying. This game was fun because it taught us what each checkpoint checked fior and what each step in mitosis is and what it dose. We then did a test on the steps of the cell cycle. This test also talked about how cells cotrol the cell cycle.

CANCER BIO PROJECT
This project was about the research into cancer and how it can be treated. We where split up into groups of one or two that worked together studying different ways their assigned cancer can be treated. My group of two did a lot of research into our cancer Leukemia and we created something super cool. The wood board that we made was super intricate and even though it took multiple drafts and two different prints it eventually came out looking super interesting. Overall I got a B+ on this project. |
